New Telephone Numbers from July 2012

Following a recent article in The District Diary, the Partners would like to make patients aware of our efforts to change the phone system.

There has been a contract in place with the same telephone provider for the last seven years. This provider was recommended by the Local Health Board and provides National cover for a substantial number of surgeries.

The Partners have listened to patient comments and complaints and have already agrred a new contract with BT, however the practice has to untangle the existing contract with is providing complicated. A date for transfer has now been agreed, which is the 20th July 2012 and we hop the switch over will be seamless but with any major equipment change problems may occur and we will keep you updated on our website.

Please note that our Gwaunmiskin Road branch surgery in Beddau will now be closed every Friday afternoon.

Influenza Vaccinations

The 'flu jab' season is well under way and we encourage everyone aged 65+ and in the risk groups to take advantage of the service. It is envisaged that because of problems with production encountered by some suppliers (fortunately not ours), there will be a scarcity of availability, and we have to concentrate only on these mentioned groups for the time being.

Pneumococcal Vaccinations

Pneumococcal vaccine, for protection against pneumonia, is now available for everyone aged 65+.
