We work from two sites at Talbot Green and Beddau. Talbot Green Surgery was completed in October 1991 and Beddau in November 1987, both of which offer easy access and toilet facilities for disabled persons, including those with wheelchairs. We are fortunate to be a training practice and you may have a consultation with a Doctor who is with us for twelve months. They are qualified doctors who have extensive hospital experience and are gaining experience in general practice. Your comments and suggestions are welcome and these can be made through the Practice Manager who will also deal with any enquiries, problems, complaints or compliments. The Practice covers the areas of Talbot Green and Beddau and the surrounding areas. You must live within the area if you would like to join the practice. Practice Manager - Mr Ian Dodd (based at Talbot Green) Receptionists & Administration Staff - 14 Members. Practice Nurses - Barbara Norris RGN & Nichola Davies RGN Healthcare Assistants - Carol Evans & Amanda Anthony Our Practice Nurses are available for advice on health, minor illnesses, travel vaccinations and injections, smears, blood pressure and asthma monitoring. They run general clinics Monday to Friday mornings and usually two afternoons every week. These clinics are by appointment only. In addition to these clinics, the nurses also run a special clinic for the monitoring of Diabetes, including the benefit of a service provided by a Podiatrist and a Dietician. This clinic is also by appointment only and held weekly. Please ask at Reception for further details. |

Joining the Practice To register with the Practice, please ask at reception for the appropriate application forms. You will be expected to attend for a new patient check as part of the registration process. As a Group Practice, patients may consult with any GP or Practice Nurse but you do have a right to express a preference for a particular doctor or nurse. It must be appreciated, however, that by electing for such a preference, it may affect the availability of an early appointment. Patients between the ages of 16 and 75 are entitled to be seen every three years. Patients aged 75 and over may request a consultation every 12 months and for the housebound, this may take place at home. ___________________________________________ |

Attached Practice Staff COMMUNITY NURSES - Our team of Community Nurses work alongside the doctors in the Practice and are available at Newpark Surgery on Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 11.30am for dressings, removal of stitches and general advice. COMMUNITY MIDWIVES - The team of Midwives care for the mother during pregnancy and after the birth, including visiting the home after leaving hospital. HEALTH VISITORS - Our Health Visitors see children up to five years old at our well-baby clinics on Monday afternoons at 1.30pm. They can give advice on injections, feeding and any other problem with your child. This clinic is run at the Newpark Surgery for patients of the both surgeries. You may also be seen at the Health Clinic next to Newpark Surgery on Tuesday mornings (Tel. 01443 229512 or 01443 449129).
